Finding God in Small Things and Art for Imperfect
Many of you are already familiar with Monoreena who is a poetess, writer, artist, photographer, and autoimmune crusader but not many are aware of the health challenges she faces. Discovering a passion for creating art has helped her in her journey and it is amazing to see the myriad ways she has been able to channel her creativity.
So without further ado let’s dive right into the interview with Monoreena Acharjee Mazumdar!
I like to call myself an Autoimmune Crusader who found her voice through her creative ticks.
I write poetry, I paint and photograph subjects that tickle my creative bones, and all are aimed at expressing my war with my nemesis.
I am constantly in the process of making myself believe that ‘I can’.
But there is a dichotomy in that existence. I often wonder if I was not given a pink slip by life, would I care to make that travel inward and reach that nebula-refuge from where all the words flow as waterfall and images form magic hamlets?
My journey thus far taught me to wait for things to come and if it doesn’t, to let go.
If life is about fulfilling dreams your wake self saw every day, which may or may not be a reality, it is also about learning to appreciate what you are bestowed with.
