The Nine Reasons I Would Return to the Church
I haven't been inside a church in five years. I occasionally run into former church friends who inquire about my future, and I've been wondering the same thing myself.
I also did not fit the stereotype of the typical churchgoer. I was a pastor and a fervent believer that I was carrying out the "Lord's work." I was a proud church leader. I proudly hung my theological degree in a lovely frame on the wall of my office. It's in a box now, and I don't even bring it up anymore.
After all of that, it's not as if I no longer believe in Jesus. Just the institutionalized church makes me queasy.
