 What Benjamin Franklin Taught Me

Franklin was born into poverty yet went on to become one of the most significant figures in history. There is always a certain amount of chance involved in success tales, but the following lessons I took away from his memoirs most certainly helped him achieve his success:

Stay debt-free. Due of the possibility of going to jail for unpaid debt during Benjamin Franklin's time, this was particularly crucial. Franklin understood that living within his means was essential to advancing in life.

-Avoid drinking. Franklin would drink water even when he was among those who were drinking. Alcohol tends to wreck life, as he observed. Additionally, he believed it would harm his efforts to build a solid name in his neighborhood.
