Memories of A Home
In the serene town of Korumburra, the whispers of my childhood still dance through the air, painting a vivid picture of simpler days. I have plans to return to this charming town after many years and it will be like unlocking a treasure trove of memories, a journey back to a time when love was abundant and the world felt pure.
Korumburra holds a special place in my heart, a town where my mother and I embarked on a journey that saw us moving homes quite frequently. We lived in quite a lot of different streets in the first ten years of my life. The earliest memories take me back to McQueen Avenue but there is one place where my young mind was first imprinted with the essence of ‘home.’ It was my grandmother’s house that truly felt like the core of my being, a place that epitomized the true meaning of home.
Returning to Korumburra is like stepping into a time machine. Most of the town had remained frozen in time, clinging to its original charm right down to the very dirt on the ground. Only a few stores changed here and there. The old video store still appears to be up and running
