Do you have this sensation? You create an incredible piece of writing, let it sit for a couple of weeks, then go back to it and realize, "Wow, I could've written this so much better."

That is my life's narrative. But here's a realization I recently had: regardless of how experienced a writer you become, that sensation never fully goes away. Writing is a journey that never truly comes to a conclusion. And that is a lovely thing.
