A (Philosophical) Viewpoint on AI Skills Gaps
Recently, clients on a handful of our projects have inquired about project handoffs to internal teams that do not yet exist. How can we teach our staff to take ownership of the solution you created? How can we ensure that our staff is prepared for changes in AI? A recurring subject was "How can we hire the right team members in AI?" Different variations of these issues were, for the most part, addressed with advice or change management strategies.
This inquiry is crucial, especially for a business AI consultancy like ours. In a very dynamic industry, finding, hiring, training, and making money from people takes a lot of work. The failure to acquire the necessary supplementary skills is even hazardous.
