Writing for Print Magazines and Newspapers
It's easier than you might think to write an article for a regional newspaper, trade publication, or even a national magazine. Simple, however, does not equate to effortless.
A byline in a print medium is considered to be a sign of legitimacy for independent authors and business executives. A features editor or managing editor will be very picky about the writers they approach for print possibilities because media outlets frequently save their print edition for the cream of the crop.
Because these publications are by nature constrained in space, bylines in magazines and newspapers are highly respected. However, it frequently feels like trying to hit a moving target while presenting these bylines. You must also offer a terrific article idea in addition to your pitch.
