Bird by Bird: Some Advice For Writing and Life

Maybe I was an amateur.
I was born in Saigon, one of the most beautiful and dynamic cities in Southern Vietnam, also the one’s that I hold dear to my heart.
When I was just a 12 year old kid, I couldn’t speak English, not even mentioned about writing in English.
During 4 years of my secondary school, I was set to be a total loser.
I couldn’t count how many times that my English teachers tried to throw me out of her class.
Maybe she thinks I wasn’t able to study the language.
I couldn’t count how many times that I was put in a situation that I was embarrassed in front of my class.
My classmates didn’t want to play with me because I didn’t know a single English word.
