How To Address A Skeptical Public About Climate Change
Anna Jones, a broadcaster and agricultural journalist, showed no fear. I asked her a question regarding "the meat debate" and how it is portrayed to the public during our audio discussion. Her answer was so forceful that it could have broken a feather. She said the following:
The crucial public conversation around meat "got off to a terrible, terrible start in terms of the public dialogue, which is a tremendous, great sorrow... We weren't debating the merits of consuming less meat. We were having a binary discussion about whether or not you ought to become a vegan. My own profession, the media, sadly, has a big part to play in this. And it has done far more harm.
