Battle With Moderation

My Ongoing Battle With Moderation: From One Addiction To Another

I remove the trash before dawn. occasionally before it is full. It is preferable to have an empty garbage bag than to see the proof. I can't let anyone see, and I haven't even told anyone close to me about this dirty little secret.

My entire life, I've fought with disordered eating and body dysmorphia. My experience is common among ladies my age (38), who were raised in the 1990s with heroin-chic fashion icons and jeans designed for women without tummies.

I can recall first seeing that I had a bigger stomach than my peers when I was in preschool. Who ever trusts their mothers, even though they tell them that they are beautiful?

nonetheless, between the epidemic and actually getting my crap together
