Electric vehicles are now widely used, but there is no magic solution.
Electric cars are now becoming more widely used. The EV revolution is finally taking off, with more and more people driving them across the world after waiting decades. With 10% of the worldwide vehicle market share in 2022, EV sales achieved a significant milestone, driven by rapid development in China and Europe. The sector should continue to gain market share in the near future as more governments, both major and small, look to encourage the use of electric vehicles to tackle climate change. Even the US state of California has set a deadline for 2035, when all new vehicles sold must be electric or hybrid. Simple economics are to blame for the boom in the use of electric vehicles, but this could also be the sector's downfall.
