Releases Shockingly-Good Coding Models to the World: Meta is Doing God's Work
According to Stanford and Berkeley universities, there have been serious reports that GPT-4 is losing accuracy in its coding capabilities. In response, Meta has announced the release of Code LLaMa, a family of LLMs with a focus on code completion.
But in addition to the outstanding performance, they have also added a number of intriguing features that will make Code LLaMa the preferred option for the majority of programmers.
The best part is that it is totally free to use for both commercial and academic purposes.
While Microsoft committed $10 billion in OpenAI to acquire preferential access to their models and essentially integrate ChatGPT into all Microsoft software, Meta chose to take a far more aggressive approach.
