I consented assuming that speak shop meant we would be talking about prospective business. As a result of our business conversation, I gave him 45 minutes of complimentary consulting because I didn't want to be rude. Despite the fact that I'm still here writing about it, I'm not wholly angry. The call was written off as an educational moment for me. After years of writing on the side, I only recently transitioned to doing it full-time. I had counted on making a few errors.
