Three Things About Adult Autism That Everyone Should Know
According to a recent study I read, those who identify as highly sensitive people (HSPs) may actually be autistic.
That assertion appeared outlandish.
But I was curious. Since I first heard the term decades ago, I've identified as a Highly Sensitive Person, as you can imagine.
I started to think, "Could I be autistic?" at this point.
I discussed the essay I had read with my therapist the following day. He said that I might be autistic.
He declared that he would not rule it out. He said that it might be quite challenging for a therapist to distinguish between very early childhood trauma that takes place in utero or in the first six months.
