 7 Important Life Lessons I've Discovered Since Having Chronic Tinnitus


I was given a persistent tinnitus diagnosis when I was 22 years old.

Tinnitus is described by Harvard Health Condition as "sound in the head without an external source." Tinnitus, according to NHS Inform, is brought on by aging-related hearing loss, inner ear damage from frequent loud noise exposure, and an accumulation of earwax. Sadly, there is no treatment for my disease.

It's like going through hell on earth to have chronic tinnitus. If you've ever had a vaccination, you are aware of how uncomfortable it is for the needle to pierce your skin. Having persistent tinnitus gives you the same sensation.
