The Nazi Occultism Myth

I was invited to participate in a Zoom meeting of academics, curators, and historians who were organizing a Holocaust monument in Ukraine in late 2020. I often wondered what happened to some of the people on the call that day, given it took place just over a year before Putin's invasion.

A famous curator friend of mine who was addressing the committee invited me. He discussed historic funeral customs in order to look at how people in the past dealt with death, memorialization, and burial procedures and to determine whether these customs had any relevance to the type and style of the proposed memorial. He spoke on the employment of numerical, calendric, and astronomical formulas as well as burial mounds, markers, and pyres.
