I've observed a trend in how I react emotionally to situations: I find it hard to go on until I've acknowledged my own contribution or any errors I may have made.

A motorcycle and my automobile recently had a little collision as I was turning into a parking place. I was annoyed because the motorcycle rider had damaged my car with a scratch and a tiny dent as a result of speeding through a parking lot. I initially held the motorcyclist responsible for his careless actions. But I couldn't let it go until I took responsibility for my own part in the predicament. I became aware that I could have avoided the crash if I had used my turn signal.
