What it looks like for me to transition my gender
It's amusing to read people's assumptions about gender transition, as if every trans person experiences the same steps, travels the same path, and has the same results. Every trans person is different, and the pathways we take reflect this. We all have a general discrepancy between our gender identification and the sex we were assigned at birth, and when we come out, we are ready to take action to address whatever dysphoria we may be experiencing. Others feel forced to medicalize their bodies, while still others simply wish to change their gender expression to reflect their true gender identity. Some trans people believe they may have been born into the wrong body.
